Late Policy:
At SunshineFX, we value your time and strive to provide every client with the best possible experience. To ensure each guest receives the quality care, attention, and service they deserve, all appointments begin promptly at their scheduled time.
A 10-minute grace period is provided for unexpected delays. Please note that this is not an extension of your appointment time. Arriving after the grace period may result in your service being adjusted, shortened, rescheduled, or canceled depending on the time remaining and the service booked.
Example: If your appointment is scheduled for 10:00 AM, you must arrive inside the salon by 10:10 AM. Arrivals at 10:11 AM or later may require your appointment to be rescheduled. If we are unable to provide your service due to a late arrival, any deposit paid will be forfeited.
If you arrive late but there is enough time available, we will do our best to complete your service within the remaining appointment time. Please understand that adjustments may need to be made to ensure we stay on schedule for the next guest. Some services may not be able to be completed in their entirety due to timing.
If you are running late, please call the salon as soon as possible at 713-280-8994. While we will always do our best to accommodate you, starting on time allows us to provide every client with the experience and attention they deserve.

Appointment Cancellation:
We understand that life happens and schedules may change. To provide the best experience for all clients and maintain availability for scheduled appointments, we kindly ask that any cancellations or rescheduling requests be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment time.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made less than 24 hours before your appointment will result in the forfeiture of your deposit.
No Call/No Show Policy:
Appointments that are missed without notice will be considered a No Call/No Show and will result in a charge of 100% of the scheduled service price to the card on file. Additionally, future appointments may be limited or unavailable.
We truly value your time and appreciate you respecting ours. This policy allows us to continue providing each SunshineFX guest with the time, preparation, and personalized care they deserve.

Curly Client Appointment prep:
To ensure a smooth and successful curly cut, please arrive with your hair:
Clean:
• Wash and condition your hair 1–4 days before your appointment using your normal routine.
• Please avoid heavy products, oils, or buildup that may make it difficult to see your natural curl pattern.
Dry:
• Your hair must be 100% completely dry before your appointment.
• Damp or wet hair can change the way your curls fall and may affect the accuracy of your cut.
Detangled:
• Please thoroughly detangle your hair before arriving.
• This allows us to spend more time focusing on your haircut, shape, and hair goals.
Down & Loose:
• Wear your hair in a loose, natural style such as a wash-and-go or loose curls.
• Please avoid buns, ponytails, clips, braids, twists, or stretched styles before your appointment. These styles can alter your natural curl pattern and impact your final shape.

Curly hair is unique, and every curl pattern has its own movement, texture, and shape. We cut curly hair dry because it allows us to see how your curls naturally fall and create a personalized cut based on your texture, density, and lifestyle.

Important Notes:

If styling your hair feels challenging, don't worry! Simply arrive with your hair clean, dry, and detangled. We will guide you through the process and provide education along the way.

If your hair requires more than 15 minutes of detangling, additional time may need to be added to your service or your appointment may need to be rescheduled to ensure we can provide the quality experience you deserve.

If it has been over one year since your last curly cut with SunshineFX, please book a New Client Curly Cut Experience so we have enough time for a full consultation, assessment, and personalized hair plan.
